KidCity is the Children's Ministry of Milwood Baptist Church. We strive to give children a foundational understanding of God by creatively engaging them with basic concrete truths in the Bible. Our hope is that by partnering with parents and families, children will come to know God, believe in His Son Jesus Christ, and grow in their desire to joyfully glorify Him.

Check-In

Upon arriving at Milwood, you will need to check your children in to our computer system before dropping them off in a class. Once checked in, you will receive nametags and a security tag for your child.  Place one label on your child, give one label to the teacher in their class, and parents keep the security tag for pick-up.

All children's ministry workers have completed background checks and safety trainings to be able to work with children. They are all believers and members of our church who desire to teach children the Word, care for and love them.

We divide children's classes into two timeframes on Sunday: Kids' Building Blocks (9:30-10:20a.m. for Elementary-age Children) and Extended Session (Classes for all ages during the main service).

Location: Children's Classes are all on the First Floor.

Room 102: Littles (babies and young children under 3 y.o.)

Room 103: Pre-K/Kindergarten (or 3 y.o. to 5 y.o.)

Room 105: 1st through 5th grade (or 6 y.o. to 10 y.o.)

**CURRENTLY ON BREAK FOR BUILDING BLOCKS**

The next Quarter will begin on Sunday, July 10th.

Kids' Building Blocks (9:30-10:20a.m.) - 1st - 5th graders, Room 105.

Building Blocks is a chance for kids to dive deeper into God's Word. From 9:30 - 10:20 before the main service, parents can drop their kids off in the appropriate classes, where they will learn fun and meaningful lessons from the Bible.

During this time, parents can be free to join the adult Building Blocks classes.

Please note that during this pre-service time, there are no Building Blocks classes for children under 6 years of age.

Extended Session (Child care and kids' classes during the main service)

Extended session is an extension of our Building Block classes that provides childcare and teaching classes during the main worship service.

Babies and little ones under 3 years of age

Right when you come to service at 10:30 a.m., babies and little ones under 3 may be dropped off in Room 102, where trained volunteers will lovingly play, sing to, and watch over them during the service. There are no formal classes for this age group.

KidCity Club, Sunday Morning, 11am // 3 - 10 years old

It is our desire that older children (pre-k - elementary age) participate in the time of worship with the church. We invite all kids ages 3-10 years old to join in the congregational singing and Scripture reading with their parents. After congregational worship (around 11am), children can meet at the back of the sanctuary to be dismissed for KidCity Club. KidCity Club is a time of learning and fun. Children learn and discuss the Scripture during this time. We cover the entire Bible, and are currently studying the book of Exodus. There is also a time of games, art, or a chance to play outside.

“Now this is the commandment—the statutes and the rules—that the LORD your God commanded me to teach you, that you may do them in the land to which you are going over, to possess it, that you may fear the LORD your God, you and your son and your son’s son, by keeping all his statutes and his commandments, which I command you, all the days of your life, and that your days may be long. Hear therefore, O Israel, and be careful to do them, that it may go well with you, and that you may multiply greatly, as the LORD, the God of your fathers, has promised you, in a land flowing with milk and honey.” ~Deuteronomy 6: 1- 3 (emphasis added)
